Personal Care

The Personal Care Program focuses on the individual needs with limitations to enhance the quality of life through services that value the dignity of each person. These services support the independence of elderly individuals who want to remain living in their homes but require assistance to do so safely and with quality of life. The purpose of the Personal Care Program is maintaining bodily hygiene, personal safety and activities of daily living for the client. We do not provide nursing care, i.e. wound care, glucose testing, and incontinency care or administer medication. Personal care is one-on-one personal assistance, stand-by assistance, supervision and cue for persons having difficulty with activities such as eating, bathing, toileting, transferring in and out of a bed/chair, walking, dressing, and/or grooming.


Eligible clients are those who are at least 60 years old and living in the San Joaquin County and not enrolled in Medi-Cal or are enrolled however have not yet been assessed for In-Home Support or VA Home benefits.
